- Medications : Anticholinergics
- Neurologic impairment : spinal cord injuries, stroke 
- Infection : Acute prostatitis, 
- Trauma 

----> On foley for decompression 

 

Rate of decompression : Complete drainage ! 
partial drainage and clamping does not reduce complications 
and increased UTI. 

Complications of decompression : 
- Hematuria : resolved 
- Transient hypotension
- Postobstructive diuresis : oral intake is enough
