Suggestive, but not independently diagnostic.
The lack of echocardiographic evidence for pulmonary hypertension does not exclude diagnosis.
Not used as an initial diagnostic test if pulmonary embolus is suspected clinically.
* McConnell' s sign :
Echo pattern of RV dysfunction consisting of akinesia
of the mid free wall but normal motion at the apex.
* 要是 New RV dysfunction ~~ New TR !
DVT echo 也只能掃到 femoral artery
其他位置 ex IVC, Iiliac.... 還有 tumor emboli 都掃不到
DVT echo 無法完全排除 thrombus
